GALA ICECREAM

About

Gala Ice Cream was designed for a growing hospitality brand offering ice cream, specialty coffee, and freshly squeezed juices.

The client wanted a concept that could evolve across multiple locations, so the design focuses on creating a clear and adaptable identity. Pale timber, clay-toned tile, terrazzo flooring, mineral finishes, and soft integrated lighting establish a fresh material language that feels warm, functional, and recognisable.

The space is organised around movement, visibility, and everyday customer interaction, creating an interior that feels open, approachable, and easy to navigate while supporting the rhythm of busy service.

The customer journey is organised around clarity and ease. Service counters, product displays, preparation areas, and seating zones are integrated into one continuous spatial sequence that supports smooth daily operation while maintaining a calm visual atmosphere.

Large windows bring natural light deep into the interior, strengthening the connection to the street and softening the material palette throughout the day. Seating areas remain light and flexible, allowing the space to support both quick visits and slower moments around coffee, desserts, and conversation.

The project establishes a repeatable material identity through pale timber joinery, clay-toned tile, terrazzo flooring, brushed metal details, and softly textured wall finishes.

Retail shelving, illuminated niches, menu systems, and display moments are integrated directly into the architecture to create a consistent visual rhythm throughout the space. The palette feels light, tactile, and contemporary while remaining durable and adaptable for future locations.
